Woman hospitalized in Hipódromo after suicide attempt

Miriam Yamilet Zamarripa, a 22-year-old resident of the Hipódromo neighborhood, was hospitalized following a suicide attempt driven by the loss of her father. During the early hours of the morning, Zamarripa ingested a large quantity of ibuprofen.

Her husband discovered her experiencing dizziness and physical distress, prompting him to call for emergency assistance. Red Cross paramedics arrived near midnight, stabilized the woman, and transported her to the Hospital Amparo Pape de Benavides for specialized medical observation.

Emergency services have used the incident to reiterate the vital importance of seeking immediate psychological support during mental health crises.
