Woman killed by train on Trani-Barletta line
A 60-year-old woman from Andria died after being struck by a train on the railway line connecting Trani and Barletta on Saturday evening, October 24. The victim had been missing since Friday morning.
Authorities, including the Carabinieri and Railway Police, are investigating the incident, and they have not ruled out suicide as a possibility. The accident caused significant disruptions to rail traffic along the Adriatic line, leading Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) to suspend services including High Speed, Intercity, and regional trains to allow for judicial investigations.
