Woman rescued after motorcycle swept into floodwater channel near Pattaya

A 25-year-old woman, identified as Supawadee Meesri, survived after being swept into a roadside drainage channel while riding her motorcycle through floodwater in Khao Mai Kaeo, near Pattaya.

The incident occurred late on Tuesday, October 14, on Ban Phu Sai Road, a route frequently used as a shortcut to the Rayong industrial estate. Meesri lost control of her Honda Wave 110i while attempting to cross a flooded section of the road. When rescue teams from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Rescue Centre arrived, they found the motorcycle in the channel with its hazard lights still flashing, but the rider was not immediately visible.

Local residents confirmed that a passerby had already pulled Meesri from the water before emergency responders reached the scene. No injuries or fatalities were reported. Rescuers noted that the area was difficult to navigate due to strong currents and a lack of street lighting.
