Woman rescued from false imprisonment in Breves, Marajó

A woman was rescued from false imprisonment in the Furo Grande community, located in Breves within the Marajó Archipelago, following an anonymous tip. The victim, a resident of Macapá, had been held against her will by her partner for more than a week.

Security forces, including the Fluvial Public Security Group (GFlu) and the Military and Civil police, conducted the operation via the Antônio Lemos Integrated Fluvial Base. The victim reported that her partner had used physical aggression and threats to prevent her from returning home to Macapá since August 20.

Police located and arrested the suspect near the residence. He has been taken into custody and remains at the disposal of the justice system. Ed-lin Anselmo, Secretary of State for Public Security and Social Defense, emphasized the importance of anonymous reports in combating domestic violence and highlighted available resources such as the SOS Mulher 190 service.
