Women drive employment growth in Friuli Venezia Giulia

Employment growth in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region has been primarily driven by women between 2018 and 2026. According to regional labor assessor Alessia Rosolen, this period has seen a significant increase in the number of employed women, alongside a decrease in both unemployment and those inactive in the labor market.

During an event in Udine marking the renewal of gender equality certification for the company Officine FVG, Rosolen emphasized that gender parity must be integrated into labor organization and services. The regional approach aims to connect employment policies with essential services, including housing, transport, schooling, and family support, to reduce obstacles to workforce participation.

To support these efforts, the region utilizes incentives for companies pursuing gender equality certification and resources from the European Social Fund to promote work-life balance and inclusion.
