Women of the World Festival returns to Cairns

The Women of the World (WOW) Festival has returned to Cairns to celebrate the 150-year contribution of women and girls to the region. Held at the Bulmba-ja Arts Centre, the festival aims to provide a space for diverse voices to share stories of triumph and challenge.

The program includes a variety of activities such as a men’s leadership breakfast, panel discussions, a comedy gala, and a community concert. A featured highlight is an ‘in conversation’ session with WOW Australia patron and former Governor General Dame Quentin Bryce, alongside journalist Juliete Rieden, marking the launch of Dame Quentin Bryce’s authorised biography.
