Women's Ballon d'Or 2026: Results and Player Rankings

The 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony saw Alexia Putellas claim the top spot in the women's rankings. Melchie Dumornay of Olympique Lyonnais finished in fourth place, following a season that included three national trophies but lacked a Champions League title.

Other notable rankings included Wendie Renard in 14th, Selma Bacha in 20th, and Caroline Weir in 25th. Melvine Malard, the Chelsea FC Women striker and French international, secured 28th place, becoming the first footballer from La Réunion to appear in the prestigious rankings.

In domestic competition, Ada Hegerberg continues her prolific form for Olympique Lyonnais. Following a brace in a 5-0 victory against Marseille, Hegerberg reached 190 goals in the D1 championship, placing her among the top five all-time scorers in the league's history.
