Women's college soccer: Longwood and Richmond play to scoreless draw

In recent women's college soccer action, Longwood University and the University of Richmond played to a 0-0 draw. Longwood junior goalkeeper Madie Wessel recorded her first career shutout, making six saves to preserve the scoreless tie. Despite Richmond holding an 8-6 advantage in shots, Wessel's performance helped the Lancers secure a point, moving their record to 2-3-1.

In a separate match, Liberty defeated William & Mary 2-0. Although William & Mary goalkeeper Mia Tegeris recorded a career-high nine saves, the Tribe was unable to overcome Liberty's offensive pressure. Halle Engle scored the opening goal for Liberty in the 50th minute, followed by an insurance goal from Margaret Garner in the 86th minute. The loss leaves William & Mary with a 0-4-1 record.
