Women's Congress events held in Kraków and Toruń

Various Women's Congress events are taking place in Poland, focusing on democracy, equality, and social challenges.

At the XVIII Women's Congress in Kraków, Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, the Deputy Minister of National Defence and the first female Secretary of State at the Ministry responsible for armament, discussed the increasing presence of women in the Polish military. She noted that women make up nearly 20 percent of the Territorial Defence Forces and approximately 15 percent of the regular army, a trend particularly visible among younger generations. Sobkowiak-Czarnecka expressed her goal to see the first female general appointed before the end of her term.

Simultaneously, the 5th Metropolitan Women's Congress is being held in Toruń under the theme “Together.” This event includes panels on health, mental strength, and masculinity, aiming to engage both women and men in discussions regarding body and mind.
