Women's cooperatives in Togo and Burkina Faso receive support

In Togo, the NGO Dimension humaine has provided equipment to nine women's groups in the Tchaoudjo 1 commune to promote economic empowerment and combat gender-based violence. The donation, valued at approximately 3,450,000 FCFA, includes tools such as mills, dehydrators, incubators, and various processing supplies. This initiative is part of a six-month project supported by the Association féminine de solidarité internationale (Equipop) under the “Woman, Peace and Security” program.

In Burkina Faso, female cooperatives in the Ziro province are receiving supervisory support to bolster food self-sufficiency. The “Yam Songo” cooperative in Gao focuses on cowpea and peanut production during the rainy season and soap making during the dry season. Meanwhile, the “Zind Yondo” cooperative in Mao-Nassira engages in market gardening to supply local populations with agricultural products. Officials visited these sites to assess challenges and encourage the women's efforts in agricultural production.
