Women's empowerment and health initiatives launched in Gabon and Burkina Faso

In Gabon, the Action pour le développement du canton Mbè (ADECAM) organized a health awareness and screening campaign in the Mbe canton. As part of the Pink October initiative, activities were held across five sites, including Mebba, Akok, Ngouadji, Atanga, and Awoua, to promote early detection of breast and cervical cancers.

In Burkina Faso, the national communication campaign ‘Pagb Yidgr-Sooré’, focused on female entrepreneurship, arrived in the Koulsé region. The initiative, which held events in Kaya, aims to empower women by addressing challenges such as access to land and property ownership. The campaign also highlights the resilience of local women's cooperatives and supports the economic recovery of women, including internally displaced persons, through state and partner support.
