Women's empowerment programs launched in Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal

In Côte d'Ivoire, the Guédikpo Civic Service Center celebrated the completion of the seventh cohort of the ‘Girls Power’ program. The initiative provided 150 young women with three months of training, combining civic values with professional skills in sectors such as catering, hairdressing, sewing, metal construction, automotive mechanics, and agro-pastoralism. Supported by the National Civic Service Office (OSCN) and UNICEF, the program included specific support for 23 young mothers to ensure they could complete their training while caring for their children.

In Senegal, Mamadou Habib Diop announced a new empowerment program for women in the Touba and Mbacké regions. The initiative aims to combat precariousness through financial support, training sessions, and assistance with marketing local products. The program is intended to align with the economic empowerment directives of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
