Women's financial solidarity grows to combat insecurity
A growing movement of financial solidarity among women is emerging to combat financial insecurity and the gender pay gap. According to a study by the financial platform Taxfix, six out of ten women are willing to support other women with financial questions. Furthermore, 37 percent of women report feeling more courageous in managing their finances when they see others speaking openly about money.
This concept, referred to as ‘financial sisterhood,’ aims to break the social taboo that money should not be discussed. Experts suggest that open dialogue can help women navigate financial challenges and improve their overall financial competence. In Switzerland, specialized training and resources are being offered to social sector professionals to better support women in managing their finances.
