In recent women's football matches, both Grimsby Town Women and City achieved second-half comebacks to secure victories.

City secured their first-ever Women’s FA Cup victory by overcoming Paulton Rovers Ladies 4-2. After a difficult first half where Paulton Rovers took a 2-0 lead, City rallied in the second half. Maddie Brown scored twice to level the match, and Tia Mahadeven added two more goals, including a stoppage-time strike, to clinch the win and advance to the 1st Qualifying Round.

In a pre-season friendly, Grimsby Town Women defeated Hull City Development 2-1. Despite conceding a goal in the fourth minute, the Mariners responded with two goals from Milly North. North equalized in the 44th minute and scored again in the 58th minute to secure the win for Town.
