Women's football: M'sichana wins comeback match as ASEC Mimosas faces elimination
In the CAF Women's Champions League qualifying phase held in Yaoundé, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo's Football Academy M'sichana secured a 3-2 comeback victory against AC La Colombe from Congo-Brazzaville. After trailing 2-0 at halftime, M'sichana scored three goals in the second half through Portya Boakye, Marlène Kasaj, and Bélange Vukulu to take the lead in their group.
In the UFOA-B tournament in Ouagadougou, Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas was eliminated from the competition despite a dominant 5-0 victory over Niger's AS GNN. Tatiana Kayaba scored a hat-trick in the match, supported by goals from Erika Gnounoué and Sopie Brou. However, following two previous losses, the win was insufficient to advance ASEC Mimosas to the final phase, leaving them third in Group B.
