Women's football transfer market hits record US$ 28.6 million

The global women's football transfer market has reached record levels, with total investment exceeding US$ 28.6 million during the mid-year window. According to a FIFA report, this represents more than a doubling of the US$ 12.3 million recorded during the same period last year. A total of 1,406 players were transferred globally.

England led the market in absolute spending, investing approximately US$ 7.95 million, followed by Spain, Germany, the United States, and Italy. Sweden also saw significant revenue from player sales, totaling US$ 4.19 million.

Brazil emerged as a notable exporter of talent. While the country ranked 35th in total investment (US$ 39,900), it achieved a record revenue of US$ 748,000 from the sale of 20 players. A key transaction included the Brazilian attacker Kerolin, who moved from Manchester City to Barcelona for approximately US$ 1.7 million.
