Women's health and care rights initiatives held in Spain and Peru

In El Puerto de Santa María, Spain, the Mujernova Center for Integral Development and Wellbeing held a free workshop titled ‘Suelo pélvico en positivo’ (Pelvic Floor in Positive). Led by physiotherapists Miriam Cumplido and Inma Pinel, the session focused on pelvic floor health, prevention, and practical care tools for women. The event, attended by Equality Councilor Silvia Gómez, marks the start of a new season of activities for the center, which includes an upcoming wellness congress in October.

In Peru, the Flora Tristán Peruvian Women's Center and Oxfam in Peru, supported by Bizkaia, conducted the second edition of the ‘Laboratorio de Cuidados’ (Care Laboratory). This initiative brought together women from diverse backgrounds to discuss the right to care from feminist, intercultural, and territorial perspectives. The workshop aimed to analyze the social organization of care work, promote justice and co-responsibility, and strengthen alliances to place care rights on the public agenda.
