Women's health and safety initiatives held in Montenegro and Serbia

Various regional initiatives are addressing critical aspects of women's well-being, ranging from social rights to medical prevention.

In Bar, Montenegro, an interactive panel titled ‘For a Better and Higher Quality Life of Women in Our Community’ was held at the European House. Panelists discussed legal regulations and rights for women facing violence, the importance of volunteer networks—noting a Stockholm-based association that has handled over 60,000 cases—and the psychological necessity of restoring self-esteem for victims. Experts also highlighted the potential of utilizing the knowledge and skills of women aged 55 and older.

In Belgrade, Serbia, the ‘Women's Health of Serbia’ conference is scheduled to focus on medical prevention, diagnostics, and treatment. Supported by the Ministry of Health, Galenika, and MediGroup, the event will cover breast cancer prevention, cardiovascular diseases, and menopause. The conference is part of the ‘Pantenol: Pink October’ campaign, which emphasizes the importance of early detection and healthy lifestyle habits to mitigate cancer risks.
