Women's health initiatives launched in Fresnillo and Nuevo Laredo

Various organizations in Mexico are conducting health initiatives focused on breast cancer awareness and women's wellness.

In Fresnillo, Movimiento Ciudadano held an awareness session led by Sandra Lucía Cardona and state delegate Verónica Rivera. The event included an informative lecture by Dr. Paco Félix on the importance of early detection and prevention. As part of the support efforts, five women from Fresnillo and Río Grande received artisanal prostheses.

In Nuevo Laredo, the Sistema DIF organized the “Ella es Fuerte” Expo Brigada. This event provides health services, including vital sign checks, nutritional guidance, and psychological and legal orientation. The program also offers information regarding mammograms, external breast prostheses, and support for women who have undergone mastectomies, specifically targeting vulnerable populations.
