Women's health: Managing hormonal changes and menopause symptoms

Women's health experts are addressing common physiological changes and symptoms that can cause confusion or distress. Breast tenderness and tension following ovulation are frequently linked to hormonal fluctuations in progesterone and estrogen. While these are often natural symptoms of the menstrual cycle, they can also serve as early indicators of pregnancy, making it difficult to distinguish between premenstrual tension and early pregnancy without a test.

Regarding menopause, gynecologist Aleksandra Piątek notes that the decline in estrogen levels leads to various physical changes, including skin elasticity loss and vaginal dryness. A particularly distressing symptom for many women is urinary incontinence, which is not exclusive to older women but can affect younger patients as well. Medical professionals emphasize the importance of regular self-examinations and seeking clinical consultation if symptoms are unusual or persistent.
