Women’s Lacrosse League holds inaugural championship at Subaru Park

The inaugural Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL) Championship will take place on August 15 at Subaru Park in Philadelphia. The title match features the Maryland Charm against the California Palms, with the game scheduled to broadcast live on ESPN at 5 p.m.

The Maryland Charm roster includes several players with ties to the Philadelphia and South Jersey regions, such as midfielder Olivia Dirks and former Rutgers standout Cassidy Spilis. The team is led by head coach and general manager Emily Parros. The Charm roster also features five Team USA gold medalists, including Sam Apuzzo, Brigid Duffy, Ally Kennedy, Caylee Waters, and Sam Forrest.

The California Palms also feature regional connections, including Marie McCool, Katie Detwiler, and Anna Brandt. The Palms roster includes several Team USA gold medalists, such as Ally Mastroianni, Emma LoPinto, and Emma Muchnick.
