Women's leadership and legal agency highlighted in regional forums

In Mexico, specialists at the XVII International Meeting of Historians of Mexico, hosted by the Universidad Veracruzana, analyzed the historical role of women within justice systems. Discussions focused on legal transformations during the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, covering topics such as mining, property rights, the War of Independence, and homicide trials.

In the Dominican Republic, the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN) held a dialogue session aimed at promoting a regional agenda for women's leadership in municipal tourism. The initiative seeks to strengthen women's economic autonomy and increase their participation in community development decisions. This session serves as a foundation for a future forum scheduled for October 20.
