Women's organizations mark milestones and membership changes

Various long-standing women's organizations are undergoing changes or celebrating milestones in their community and academic roles.

At Baylor University, the Baylor Round Table, founded in 1904, voted in March 2026 to remove gender restrictions from its membership. The updated bylaws now allow eligible faculty, staff, spouses, retirees, and visiting faculty to join, marking a significant evolution for the organization.

In West Virginia, the Fayette Study Club is marking 102 years of operation. Founded in 1924 in Fayette County, the group continues to focus on arts, literature, science, and community service. The club maintains its mission through monthly meetings featuring guest speakers, educational demonstrations, and charitable donations to local causes such as the Fayette Humane Society.
