Women's political assembly in Jujuy and community sports in Florida

In Jujuy, Argentina, the group ‘Mujeres en Movimiento’ has called for the first Political Assembly of Jujuy women. Scheduled for October 17 at the CEDEMS headquarters in San Salvador de Jujuy, the event aims to establish a participatory agenda and revitalize public debate regarding the role of politics in society. Organizers, including Patricia Gutiérrez, Alicia Chalabe, Claudia González, Nadia Ruge, and Daniela Jaled, intend for the assembly to serve as a space for collective construction and the discussion of local priorities.

In Florida, Uruguay, the ‘Pelota al Medio a la Esperanza’ program, in collaboration with the National Directorate of Gender Policies and Citizen Coexistence (PCOP), is promoting community integration through sports. The initiative has reached various localities within the department, including Casupá, Cardal, and Sarandí Grande. The program involves local students and features regional finals scheduled for late October at the Campeones Olímpicos Stadium.
