Women's wellness initiatives launched in Joaçaba and Canaã dos Carajás

Various community initiatives in Brazil are focusing on women's health and psychosocial support. In Joaçaba, the CDL Mulher organized the ‘Café Rosa que Acolhe’ event at the Municipal Park as part of the Pink October campaign. The program included circular dance, yoga, and a discussion on pelvic health led by a physiotherapist, aimed at promoting self-care and honoring volunteers from the Women's Network to Combat Cancer.

In Canaã dos Carajás, the ‘Projeto Roda de Afeto’ (Circle of Affection Project) was held through the Casa da Mulher. This initiative specifically targets atypical mothers—those raising neurodivergent children—to provide mental health support and psychosocial assistance. The project includes monthly meetings and lectures, offering childcare through partnerships to allow mothers dedicated time for self-care and community connection.
