Wonder Woman celebrates 85th anniversary

The iconic superheroine Wonder Woman marks 85 years since her debut in All Star Comics #8 in 1941. Created by psychologist and writer William Moulton Marston alongside artist H. G. Peter, the character was designed to offer a different perspective in a superhero landscape then dominated by male characters.

James Gunn, co-chief of DC Studios, issued a tribute to the character, noting that her greatest strength is her ability to see the humanity in others. While fans have speculated on future casting, such as rumors regarding Adria Arjona, Gunn focused his anniversary message on the compassion and intelligence that have defined Diana Prince since her inception.
