Wondermind and 700Credit face legal challenges over fraud and data security

Mental health startup Wondermind, co-founded by Selena Gomez, is facing a lawsuit from investors alleging deception regarding the company’s leadership and product development. The plaintiffs claim that central promises made during funding rounds were not fulfilled, specifically citing an app project that was allegedly never built and partnerships that reportedly did not exist. The lawsuit seeks to recover damages totaling approximately $1.2 million USD.

In a separate matter, credit reporting agency 700Credit has reached a $17.5 million class action settlement following a data breach. The settlement aims to compensate consumers whose sensitive information, including Social Security numbers and birth dates, was allegedly exposed due to the company’s failure to maintain adequate security protocols. 700Credit provides credit reports and compliance solutions primarily for the automotive industry.
