Wood heating demand declines as air conditioning use rises
Demand for firewood for heating has seen a significant decline, with sellers reporting that citizens are increasingly turning to air conditioning units for warmth. While the price of wood has remained stable at approximately 60 euros per meter, there are indications it could rise to 70 euros.
Local residents expressed varying perspectives on heating methods and costs. Some noted that the high price of wood makes it a less attractive option compared to previous years, while others suggested that the increased use of air conditioning is a primary driver behind the falling interest in wood. Additionally, some households utilizing central heating through Termokos reported that those costs are also becoming difficult to manage.
