Wooden Camera launches modular cage and accessory system for Sony FX5

Wooden Camera has announced a new modular cage and accessory system specifically designed for the Sony FX5. The system is intended to provide filmmakers with flexibility across various production styles, including handheld, cinema, and gimbal workflows.

The modular cage allows for configurations ranging from a lightweight half-cage to a full cinema rig using the Elite Cage System. A key feature is the low-profile design with a modular dovetail, which enables tool-less transitions between bridge plates and gimbals. For gimbal users, the lineup includes a 13mm Bolt-On ARCA – DJI RS Quick-Release Plate that integrates directly with DJI RS-series systems.

Additional professional features include E-mount to PL and E-mount to LPL adapters for cinema lens integration, dedicated lens support for stability, and a Rear Cage Bracket for mounting monitors and batteries. Power management is addressed through battery slide solutions that support both Gold Mount and V-Mount options.
