Woodside Energy expands global operations with Bengaluru technology hub

Woodside Energy, Australia’s largest listed energy company, is expanding its presence in India through the development of Woodside Global Solutions, a specialized hub located in Bengaluru. The center aims to function as more than a conventional global capability centre, serving as a corporate hub that integrates technology, digital, finance, procurement, and operations to support the company’s global business.

Since its establishment in February, the hub has grown to approximately 150 to 160 employees. The facility focuses on critical technical domains, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, and product engineering. Woodside selected Bengaluru following an assessment of multiple global cities, citing the region’s deep talent pool and world-class technology ecosystem as decisive factors.

Kristine Leo, Woodside Vice President and India Country Manager, stated that the hub represents an important step in the company’s international growth and value creation. Sameer Singhal, Head of Digital Solutions Centre, noted that the center is designed to leverage technology to improve decision-making and solve complex business challenges across the enterprise.
