Woori Bank finishes as runner-up in Park Shin-ja Cup

Woori Bank secured second place at the 2026 KB 국민은행 Park Shin-ja Cup after losing 71-78 to Japan's Fujitsu Red Wave in the final held at Cheongju Gymnasium. Despite trailing by as many as 15 points, Woori Bank staged a comeback attempt, but Fujitsu ultimately secured its third consecutive title in the tournament.

Star forward Kim Dan-bi recorded 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists during the final. Following the match, Kim expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, noting that despite a series of injuries and limited training time, the squad managed to reach the finals. She highlighted the importance of the tournament as a preparation stage for the upcoming season.

Woori Bank head coach Jeon Ju-won noted that while the team showed competitiveness, defensive rotation and stamina were key areas for improvement. He emphasized that maximizing the synergy between Kim Dan-bi and newly joined top-tier shooter Kang Yi-seul remains a primary objective for the team as they prepare for the regular season.
