Woori Financial Group supplies 34.7 trillion won in productive and inclusive finance

Woori Financial Group has supplied a total of 34.7 trillion won in productive and inclusive finance over the past year through its ‘Future Shared Growth Project’. This figure represents 38.5% of the group's five-year target, which was recently increased to 90 trillion won.

Of the total amount, 33.3 trillion won was allocated to productive finance, while 1.4 trillion won was dedicated to inclusive finance. In the productive finance sector, the group exceeded its annual loan target of 18.4 trillion won by supplying 27.2 trillion won between January and September. A significant portion of these funds, totaling 13.4 trillion won, supported small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with 5.1 trillion won directed toward regional SMEs.

Investment activities included over 500 billion won directed toward projects such as the Shinan-Ui offshore wind farm, Samsung Electronics' Pyeongtaek semiconductor facilities, and the AI semiconductor company Rebellion. Additionally, the group has provided 2.8 trillion won toward its 3.5 trillion won inclusive finance goal, supporting vulnerable groups through products like the ‘Saehuimang Holssi’ loan and interest rate caps on personal credit loans.

Chairman Lim Jong-ryong has instructed subsidiary CEOs to focus on structural changes in the supply of funds, specifically increasing the proportion of support for regional areas and SMEs, while continuing to expand inclusive finance to help vulnerable populations recover.
