Woori Investment & Securities manages 270 billion won securitization deals
Woori Investment & Securities is expanding its investment banking and structured finance business through the solo management of major securitization deals. The firm recently managed a 150 billion won hybrid bond securitization for EcoPro, which was completed in September.
Additionally, the firm has secured a solo mandate for a 120 billion won hybrid bond securitization for Osstem Implant, with the transaction expected to close this month. These two deals combined total 270 billion won.
Following a 1 trillion won capital increase in May, the firm has seen a significant rise in large-scale IB transactions. This includes arranging 600 billion won for the acquisition of Ulsan GPS and SK Multi Utility in June, and providing 280 billion won in financing for SK Eternix. The firm also managed a 120 billion won financing deal for EcoPro’s Indonesian subsidiary.
As a result of these activities, Woori Investment & Securities reported that its cumulative IB-related fees for the third quarter reached 67.2 billion won, a 163.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
