Gaming monitor market sees significant price reductions and new high-performance releases
The gaming monitor market is experiencing a wave of price reductions and new hardware entries across various performance tiers. Major retailers and brands are offering substantial discounts on high-refresh-rate displays.
Samsung has seen significant price drops, including its 25-inch Odyssey G4 (G40H) 300Hz monitor hitting an all-time low of $169.99. Other Samsung models, such as the 27-inch Odyssey G8 dual-mode 5K monitor and the Odyssey 3D G90XF, are also featured in recent promotional cycles.
Other manufacturers are competing through aggressive pricing and specialized specs. Asus is offering its 27-inch ROG Strix OLED monitor at a $100 discount, while its ROG Strix XG27WCS QHD model has seen price cuts in European markets. In China, Lenovo has introduced the Legion 27Q-20, a budget-friendly 320Hz QHD monitor priced at approximately $172, signaling a trend toward making high-refresh-rate technology more accessible to amateur esports competitors.
Retailers like Woot are also participating in broad sales, offering discounts of up to 51% on various 27-inch gaming monitors from brands including Amazon Basics, AOC, and Alienware.
