Worasit Liangprasit reports improving Bangkok flood situation
Deputy Interior Minister Worasit Liangprasit stated that the flooding situation in Bangkok is beginning to improve. However, concern remains for high water levels in the Khlong Chan, Rom Klao, and Lat Krabang housing areas.
To assist affected residents, the Ministry of Interior is distributing field kitchens to requested locations and deploying mobile toilet trucks from local authorities nationwide. Worasit has instructed district directors to immediately report any additional resource shortages to ensure timely support.
The Ministry of Interior continues to coordinate with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) on relief efforts. Officials noted that if rainfall follows weather forecasts and no additional heavy rain occurs, water levels are expected to recede significantly following several days of continuous drainage efforts by the BMA.
