Work-life balance challenges reported in surveys of women and homemakers

Recent surveys highlight the complexities of balancing professional responsibilities with domestic life. An investigation involving 561 women examined the impact of remote work, revealing that a frequency of working from home three days a week was associated with lower satisfaction levels, suggesting that remote work frequency does not directly correlate with increased happiness.

Separately, a study by Shufu JOB Research Institute focused on homemakers seeking to balance work and family. The findings show that the average sleep duration for this group is approximately 6 hours and 4 minutes. While 45% of respondents aim to manage both work and home life as effectively as possible, only 13.3% reported having sufficient time flexibility. Qualitative feedback from participants emphasized that even when time appears available, mental burdens from childcare, household management, and financial concerns often prevent a true sense of leisure.
