Workday launches AI‑driven safety suite for payroll automation

Workday announced a set of AI‑agent tools designed to keep payroll and HR data processing both accurate and secure. The new Agent‑Ready Tools let agents operate across the platform via the Model Context Protocol, while a Developer Agent enables users to build apps in plain language. An Agent Passport, introduced with Cisco as the first attestation partner, tests and monitors agents before and after deployment. Chief Technology Officer Gabe Monroy said, “There aren’t many systems that are more critical — or less forgiving — than ones that are dealing with people and money,” and stressed that guardrails must be built into the inference engine itself.
