Worker critically injured by electric shock in Halfeti pool

A 27-year-old temporary worker, Muhammet Yılmaz, was critically injured by an electric shock in Halfeti, Şanlıurfa. The incident occurred at a municipal garage when Yılmaz placed his feet in a decorative pool to cool off from the heat.

Following the accident, Yılmaz was initially taken to Halfeti State Hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, he was intubated and transferred to Şanlıurfa Training and Research Hospital for advanced treatment.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. The inquiry will focus on the electrical connections of the decorative pool and whether adequate safety measures were in place at the municipal facility.
