Worker dies in Modica poultry plant accident

A 65-year-old worker, Giovanni Fargione, died after being electrocuted at a poultry company in Modica, Sicily.

The incident occurred in the early afternoon when the worker was operating a vehicle and reportedly came into contact with high-voltage power lines. Emergency responders from the 118 service arrived at the scene, but were unable to save him.

Firefighters and electrical technicians worked to secure the area and cut power to the affected line. State Police and relevant inspectors are currently investigating the dynamics of the accident to determine responsibility.
