Worker killed in Baveno industrial accident
A 48-year-old worker died following a workplace accident in Baveno, Italy, in the early hours of the morning. The victim, an employee of a company based in Castano Primo, was reportedly crushed between a heavy vehicle and a wall on via Due Riviere.
Emergency services, including firefighters, police, and medical teams from Gravellona Toce, responded to the scene around 8:00 AM. Firefighters spent over twenty minutes working to extricate the man from the vehicle, but medical personnel could only confirm his death upon arrival due to the severity of his injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest the accident may have been caused by a vacuum truck (autospurgo) moving uncontrollably. Authorities and workplace safety inspectors are conducting investigations to determine the exact sequence of events and establish responsibility.
