Workers' Party of Turkey X account faces access ban

The official X account of the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) has been blocked following a decision based on Article 8/A of Law No. 5651. This legal provision allows for the removal of content or the blocking of access to internet content upon the request of the Presidency or relevant ministries to protect national security, public order, or public health.

Erkan Baş, the leader of TİP, condemned the decision, describing it as an “act of fascism” and a “de facto attack on democratic politics.” He stated that the party refuses to accept the restriction and vowed to continue expressing their views in public and in parliament despite the social media blockade.
