Workman expands recovery wear and strengthens core workwear lineup

Workman Co., Ltd. has announced its strategic expansion and new product lines for the 2026 autumn/winter season, focusing on its “Work Strengthening Plan” and the growth of its recovery wear brand, MEDiHEAL.

The company aims to solidify its market position by producing 22 million pieces of recovery wear this season, a sevenfold increase from the previous year. A key highlight is the “MEDiHEAL COSMOS” model, which utilizes NASA-developed Outlast® temperature regulation technology to maintain optimal clothing temperatures. The brand is also expanding into business-oriented recovery suits and activewear.

To address concerns regarding a shift away from its core professional customer base, Workman is investing 71 billion yen into “strengthening products.” This portfolio includes high-performance workwear, XShelter insulation products, and heatstroke prevention gear such as fan-equipped clothing and Peltier semiconductor cooling apparel. The company is utilizing a “processing trade” model—sourcing materials from China and utilizing Southeast Asian manufacturers—to maintain low prices while increasing profit margins.
