Workplace accidents reported in Esterri d'Àneu and Palma

Two separate workplace accidents have been reported in Spain. In Esterri d'Àneu, a 23-year-old man died after a stone wall collapsed on him while he was performing renovation work on a property. Emergency services, including the Mossos d'Esquadra and firefighters, attended the scene, but the victim could not be saved. The investigation into the circumstances of the death has been handed over to the Trempi judicial court.

In Palma, a man approximately 50 years old was injured after being struck by a distribution truck in the parking lot of a Carrefour hypermarket on General Riera Avenue. The incident occurred during a reversing maneuver. Emergency medical services stabilized the worker, who was conscious but in significant pain, before transporting him to the Hospital de Son Espases. Local and national police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
