Workplace mobbing awareness grows following harassment allegations
Recent public allegations of workplace mobbing by journalist Jofre Llombart at Catalunya Ràdio have renewed discussions regarding occupational harassment. In his book ‘En guardia frente al mobbing’, Juan Francisco Mirasy shares his personal experience of enduring an eight-year period of harassment that resulted in physical health issues, including hypertension.
Mirasy describes the psychological impact of such environments, noting that perpetrators often exhibit traits such as narcissism, envy, or mediocrity. He highlights common behavioral patterns in harassers, including the minimization of their actions, difficulty assuming responsibility, and an inability to manage impulses or frustration. The book aims to provide strategies for preventing, facing, and overcoming the severe mental and physical damage caused by workplace bullying.
