Workshop owner arrested for embezzling public transport vehicles in Serang

Police in Serang, Indonesia, have arrested a 34-year-old workshop owner, identified as AS, for the embezzlement of dozens of public transport vehicles. The suspect operated a workshop in Kampung Sadang, Kragilan, where he allegedly took vehicles from customers under the guise of repairs.

Rather than selling the vehicles whole, the suspect reportedly dismantled the car bodies and sold the pieces to scrap metal collectors in the Kasemen area. The investigation began following a report from a victim who discovered their vehicle had been sold as scrap. The suspect was apprehended at his parents' home in Serang City.
