Industry representatives from retail and shopping centers have called for government studies on the economic impact and requested a predictable transition period to allow for operational reorganization.

Contrasting these discussions, the technology sector presents a complex view of work schedules. While the creator of ChatGPT has advocated for a four-day workweek enabled by artificial intelligence, reports indicate that employees at OpenAI have faced intense workloads of up to 70 hours per week, including weekends. Research suggests that rather than reducing labor, AI integration may be increasing workloads by expanding employee responsibilities and task complexity.
