World Athletics U20 Championships: Jamaica and USA athletes secure medals

Athletes secured several medals during the World Athletics Under-20 Championships held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Jamaican sprinters Shanoya Douglas and Tiana Marshall added to their nation's medal count. Douglas earned a silver medal in the women’s 200m with a time of 22.68 seconds, while Marshall took bronze in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.97 seconds. The Jamaican Mixed 4x100m relay team also set a new national record of 41.92 seconds, finishing fifth in the final.

In the women's 1500-meter run, Claire Stegall secured a silver medal with a time of 4:16.77. Additionally, Mohammed El Moussalit placed fourth in the men's 1500-meter final with a time of 3:41.09. Bahamian athlete Kei-Mahri Hanna finished seventh in the women's 400-meter hurdles final.
