World Avocado Organisation promotes gut health benefits in India

The World Avocado Organisation (WAO) is highlighting the role of avocados in supporting gut health as wellness awareness grows in India. As Indian consumers increasingly focus on the link between diet and digestion, avocados are being promoted as a nutrient-dense option due to their high dietary fibre and monounsaturated fat content.

Specifically, half of a Hass avocado (68g) provides approximately 4.6g of fibre. The WAO suggests that the fruit's creamy texture and mild flavour allow it to be easily integrated into traditional Indian meals, such as parathas, sandwiches, chaats, raita, and chutneys, to support healthy digestion and satiety.
