World Bank announces GovTech AI Bootcamp 2026 in South Korea

The World Bank, in collaboration with South Korea’s Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) and the National Information Society Agency (NIA), has opened applications for the GovTech AI Bootcamp 2026.

Scheduled for December 7–11, 2026, in Seoul, the five-day program is designed for government institutions in low- and middle-income countries that are developing or deploying AI-powered solutions for public administration. Eligible areas of focus include public financial management, taxation, citizen services, social welfare, procurement, and anti-corruption efforts.

Up to five to seven countries will be selected. Each participating institution can nominate a two-person team consisting of a policy leader and a technical practitioner. For selected teams, the program provides full funding, covering international travel, accommodation, and bootcamp participation. The curriculum includes technical workshops, site visits, and the development of AI implementation roadmaps.
