The World Bank Group has revealed an active portfolio in Côte d'Ivoire totaling between $5.3 billion and $6.3 billion, spanning 25 strategic projects. These investments are designed to support the country's National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030, which aims to create three million jobs for youth and women.
Key sectors receiving funding include education, agriculture, energy, health, infrastructure, and urban development. The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has contributed significantly, mobilizing approximately $2.7 billion between 2021 and 2025 to stimulate the private sector and improve the business environment.
During the World Bank's open house days in Abidjan, Ivorian officials and bank representatives discussed optimizing investment impact. The government has set a target disbursement rate of between 32% and 40% for the 2026-2027 fiscal year to ensure resources are converted into visible developmental achievements.
